Alarm 3.5.16 Coming Soon

Friday, November 19th, 2010

So while working on Nighthawk, I found an issue in the snooze/quick alarm functionality in v3.5.12-3.5.15. So, I will be releasing Alarm 3.5.16 on December 4. While I’ve already finished the bug fix, I am spending a great deal of time to test and make sure something like this doesn’t happen again.

It is a pretty serious bug, but it doesn’t affect too many users. Basically, I found out that if you have 24 hour clock mode enabled and you snooze or use quick alarm between 12:00 and 23:59, the alarm time will be incorrect. If this affects you, i.e. you use Alarm in the afternoon and you use 24 hour clock, please email me at alarmsupport@russell-patterson.com and I will send you the fixed version immediately. Again, it doesn’t affect anyone who is not using 24 hour clock mode.

Thanks.

Nighthawk Update

Thursday, November 18th, 2010

Just thought I’d say a little bit about the ongoing Alarm 4 work that I’m doing.

Although it was put on the back burner there for a while, I’ve recently started working on Alarm 4 once again. I’m about 90% finished on the event system and I’ve completed the revamped playlist system. There is still a lot of UI work to be done but I’m going to start attacking that here in the next few days. I’ve also ported the new media stuff that I wrote and updated the core to the latest (3.5.15) version.

I will hopefully be putting out an alpha before the end of the month, as long as I can continue working on it.

Alarm 3.5.15

Today one of my friends found a bug when two options are enabled together, so I fixed it and pushed out 3.5.15. Get it on the site or via auto update. Alarm 4 is still on it’s way.
